Questions and answers Common questions about Edusimo courses

Short answers about the courses, the platform and your data. Question not here? Email contact@edusimo.com or book a demo.

How is an Edusimo course different from a typical online safety course?
Regular online courses are usually slides to click through and a test at the end. Ours are made to be worth taking: short narrated lessons, engaging animations and videos, a task after every topic and a 3D simulation where you follow the evacuation route, find the extinguisher and make decisions yourself. You learn by doing, not just reading, so it sticks.
Are the courses available now?
Not for sale yet. Our first courses run as early versions on our platform: you can already take the lessons and the test, and the content is waiting for a final expert review. That is why the site marks them as in progress. In a demo we show you one and tell you when the course you need will be ready.
How long does a course take?
A course is a handful of short lessons, 1 to 3 minutes each, and a test at the end. Usually about 20 minutes in total. Each course page shows the exact time and number of lessons.
Do I get a certificate after the course?
Yes. When you pass the test, the platform issues a PDF certificate of completion with a code anyone can use to check it is genuine. The platform is in progress.
Which languages are the courses in?
Our first courses are in Polish and the English versions are in progress. The platform will work in Polish and English. We can build a course in another language as custom work.
Do I need a VR headset or any install?
No. The course and the 3D simulation run in the browser on a computer, tablet or phone.
Does a course work on a phone?
Yes. Lessons adapt to the screen, and you do the tasks and the simulation with your finger. A current browser is enough, no app to install.
Does an online first aid course replace practice on a manikin?
No. The online course teaches you to assess the scene, the order of actions and the decisions. Chest compressions need hands-on practice with an instructor.
Can you build a course in our field?
Yes. We build custom e-learning courses, browser-based 3D simulations and training apps in any field, from the script to the rollout.

Platform and integrations

How the platform works
How do learners sign in to the platform?
With a link from an email, no password. The company admin adds people one by one or from a list and assigns courses with a due date. The platform is in progress.
Can I see who completed a course?
Yes. The company panel shows who finished a course and who has not started it yet, and you download reports and PDF certificates. The platform is in progress.
Can I run the courses in my own LMS?
We are preparing SCORM 1.2 and 2004 packages, LTI 1.3 and an API. Scores and completion will go back to your system. These integrations are in progress.
Where is the data stored?
In the European Union, in Poland by default, only with European cloud providers. On request we run the platform in your country in the EU with a proven European provider, outside the EU (for example in the US) with the provider you choose, or on your own servers. The platform is in progress.
How do you protect learner data?
We store learners' personal data, such as their name, encrypted in the database. Only people with an account in that company's platform space can access its data. The platform is in progress.
Who is civil protection training for?
For local government offices, public institutions, schools and companies that want to prepare people for floods, alarms, threats from the air or power cuts.
What does an online civil protection course look like?
Short narrated lessons, a task after every topic and a 3D simulation where you practise evacuation and decisions without risk. It runs in the browser, on a phone too.
Does the course follow Poland's Civil Protection and Civil Defence Act?
We adapt the programme to your unit's requirements and the direction of the Act of 5 December 2024. An online course also keeps a record of who completed it. It is not legal advice.
When will the course be available?
The course is in progress. In a demo we show a sample lesson and agree the scope for your organisation.
