First aid for employees First aid training online: decisions before the ambulance
An online first aid course teaches how to assess the scene, call for help and in what order to act: CPR, AED, recovery position. You practise the decisions in tasks. Chest compressions and using an AED still need hands-on practice on a manikin with an instructor.
What the course teaches
Safety and assessment
Is the scene safe, does the casualty respond and breathe.
Calling for help
What to tell the dispatcher and who to send for the AED.
CPR and AED
The order of actions and what the defibrillator tells you.
Recovery position
When to use it and how to keep checking breathing until help arrives.
An online course does not replace hands-on practice. It teaches decisions and the order of actions; chest compressions are practised in a class with an instructor.
What learning looks like
The learner decides what to do at each moment and sees the result at once. A mistake in a task costs nothing and stays in memory.

- Is an online first aid course enough?
- For learning to assess the scene and the order of actions, yes. Chest compressions and using an AED need hands-on practice with an instructor.
- Do employers in Poland have to appoint first aiders?
- Yes. The Polish Labour Code (art. 209¹ § 1) requires the employer to provide first aid equipment and appoint employees to give first aid. Their number, training and equipment must reflect the type and level of hazards (art. 209¹ § 3).
- When will the course be available?
- The first aid course is in progress. On a demo we will show you a sample lesson.
- Will I get a first responder certificate?
- No. An Edusimo completion certificate confirms the online course was completed. It is not a first responder qualification.
